Helping People Sleep Better
Sleep With Confidence
If you are having difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep for at least 3 nights a week for 1 month or more, the chances are that you are starting to lose your confidence in sleeping well. Once you lose your confidence in sleep an anxiety usually builds about your ability to sleep well again. You are likely to take this anxiety to bed with you each night making it harder and harder to fall asleep. Once your sleep has fallen into a disruptive pattern it is likely to stay that way until you confront it.
Sleep with Confidence is a program designed to help people sleep better by rebuilding their confidence in sleep. Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy together with psycho-educational support, this program aims at reducing anxiety about not sleeping and provides practical easy to apply strategies to help people sleep better. Sleep with Confidence is suitable for teenagers and adults of all ages. If you are concerned about your sleep, give me a call.
The Steps We Take to Treat Insomnia
A Sleep Diary
You will be asked to complete a sleep diary for two weeks. The sleep diary will provide valuable insights into the pattern of poor sleep that you have fallen into.
First Meeting
In our first 50-minute meeting I will review your sleep diary. I will be keen to understand when the sleeping difficulty started and how it is affecting your life.
Your Sleep Plan
Towards the end of our first meeting a tailored step by step plan will be developed to treat your insomnia. Your sleep plan will target the main causes of your insomnia.
